Omani Rial (OMR) = 1,000 baisa. Notes are in denominations of OMR 50, 20, 10, 5 and 1, and 500, 200 and 100 baisa. Coins are in denominations of 50, 25, 10 and 5 baisa.
Credit / Debit Cards and ATMs
American Express is accepted, as are other major credit cards. There are over 65 ATMs in the Sultanate of Oman.
Travellers Cheque Advice
Easily exchanged. To avoid additional exchange rate charges, travellers are advised to take traveller’s cheques in US Dollars.
